Launch architecture

2003 model update
BMW introduced xDrive:
- electronically controlled multi-plate clutch;

⚠️ Archive anomalies
4.6is replacement year
Current BMW Classic 4.6is page says it was replaced by 4.8is in 2024.
But:
- 4.6is production ends 09/2003;
- 4.8is page starts 04/2004.
Working interpretation: obvious archive typo 2024 → 2004, but canonical source conflict stays logged.
3.0d typo
The 3.0d Archive narrative contains a 3.9d wording in some rendered text while the model/page/engine are clearly 3.0d.
Do not create an X5 3.9d model.
