• 250 km/h electronic limiter.

Convertible E64

• same 4.4 V8 family;
• 333 PS / 450 Nm;
• body-specific acceleration slower than Coupé.

630i

Early phase

• 3.0 I6;
• 190 kW / 258 hp;
• Coupé and Convertible;
• entered range in 2004.

LCI 2007

• 200 kW / 272 hp;
• High Precision Injection;
• Double VANOS;
• Coupé 0–62 mph ~6.2 s;
• Convertible ~6.7 s.

This is a real engine/output revision under the same 630i badge.

650i

From MY2006:

• replaced 645Ci;
• 4.8 V8;
• 270 kW / 367 PS;
• 490 Nm.

LCI 2007 retained the 367-hp engine while performance/efficiency and vehicle calibration were revised:

• Coupé 0–62 mph 5.1 s;
• Convertible 5.5 s.

635d — diesel 6 Series

Introduced with the 2007 revision:

• Coupé and Convertible;
• 2993 cm³ I6;
• twin-turbo / multi-stage turbocharging;
• 3rd-generation Common Rail;
• 286 hp;
• 580 Nm;
• Coupé 0–62 mph: 6.3 s;
• Convertible: 6.6 s;
• 155 mph / 250 km/h electronic limiter.

BMW UK described it as the first diesel-powered luxury 2+2 GT in its claim context.
