The sixth-generation 3 Series arrived first as Sedan.

F31 Touring — 2012

Launch/early confirmed models include:

• 328i Touring;
• 320d Touring;

• 0–62 mph: 5.6 s.

Further engine expansion:

• 316d;
• 318d;
• 320i;

• electric motor;

F34 3 Series Gran Turismo — 2013

Separate body family, not a Touring trim.

Early range includes:

• 320i GT;
• 328i GT;
• 335i GT;
• 318d GT;
• 320d GT.

Later:

• 325d GT;
• 330d GT;
• xDrive combinations.

Representative outputs:

• 320i: 184 hp;
• 328i: 245 hp;
• 335i: 306 hp;
• 318d: 143 hp;

Critical naming rule

This F30 generation has no production Coupé body.

BMW officially moved the two-door line into the new 4 Series F32 from 2013.

Therefore:

• F30 ≠ Coupé;
• F31 ≠ Coupé;
• F34 = Gran Turismo;
• F32/F33/F36 belong to 4 Series and must be created as a separate model family in редакционная глава.
